FOLLOWING VERASTEM ONCOLOGY ON TWITTER
Verastem Oncology is committed to maintaining the highest ethical, legal and regulatory standards in all its interactions, including those with the Twitter community. To ensure mutual understanding of how Verastem Oncology will use Twitter, we have developed the following guidelines for our followers and others who may visit our Twitter account @VerastemOncolog.
Twitter is meant to be an open forum, and we welcome your mentions, retweets and replies. We will do our best to reply to your questions, but we cannot guarantee a response. In addition, we will not respond to inflammatory or disrespectful comments, or posts using foul language.
We’ve established our social properties to share news with you about Verastem Oncology. We want to get your thoughts on our updates. In some cases, we may not be able to respond when we receive questions or comments related to financial, legal, medical, confidential or regulatory issues. In some cases, we may need to remove your comment. Below are some reasons why we may need to remove your comment:
- Referencing a product (ours or someone else’s)
While we do not endorse any users’ comments other than our own, we must be mindful of important regulations that govern our industry. If your post references a pharmaceutical brand from any company – positively or negatively – we may need to remove it because, among other reasons, we can’t guarantee that it will represent Fair Balance, or that it will accurately describe that product or brand.
- Referencing a side effect or a product complaint
If your post includes a possible side effect or a quality complaint associated with a Verastem Oncology product, we may be required to contact you for further information. You may contact us to report a product quality complaint or potential side effect by calling 1-877-7RX-VSTM. Or if you prefer, you may contact the FDA directly by visiting www.fda.gov/medwatch or calling 1-800-FDA-1088.
- Containing medical advice
Given the serious implications associated with unsolicited and unverified medical advice, we can’t allow it on our feed. As always, we recommend consulting with your physician on any medical condition.
Verastem Oncology does not endorse any comments or products of its followers or of any Twitter accounts it follows. When we provide links or references to external websites through tweets, Verastem Oncology claims no responsibility for, and does not endorse, the content of these linked or referenced websites and is not liable for any damages or injury arising from the content of these websites. These links are provided for our followers’ and Twitter users’ convenience only.
Verastem Oncology reserves all rights relating to all Verastem Oncology Twitter accounts, including, but not limited to, modifying or discontinuing the content of the account or the account in full, rejecting Twitter followers, and responding (or not) to any questions or comments.
