World Cancer Day
February 4th is World Cancer Day. It started as a global initiative led by Union for International Cancer Control, the largest international cancer organization, committed to taking the lead in uniting the cancer community to reduce the global cancer burden, promote greater equity, and integrate cancer control into the world health and development agenda.
By raising worldwide awareness, improving education and catalyzing personal, collective and government action, everyone is working together to re-imagine a world where millions of preventable cancer deaths are saved, and access to life-saving cancer treatment and care is equal for all – no matter who you are or where one lives.
As a biotech company, we have a fundamental role to play in achieving a world less burdened by cancer. Today and every day, we at Verastem Oncology recognize that our commitment to act will lead to progress in reducing the global impact of cancer.
